Amid speculation that Cisco will sell off its online meeting unit, WebEx remains a leading player in the space. Plenty of organizations use it regularly for Web-based meetings and presentations, making its iPad app an easy choice. (It also seems unlikely that a potential sale would usher in the end of WebEx, given its widespread adoption and brand equity.) The WebEx for iPad app itself is free; you'll of course need a WebEx account to create and manage meetings. iPad 2 users and their front-facing cameras are likely to get more out of video conferences, though those with "old" iPads will still find the app handy for audio calls, presentations, desktop sharing, and attending online meetings from the road.
