Beneficial Appoints CIO
eneficial Corp., a financial services firm in New York with $17 billion in assets, has hired Patti Prairie as its first CIO. Prairie was also named president of Beneficial Technology Corp. in Wilmington, Del., the company's IT subsidiar
y that serves all of Beneficial. Prior to joining Beneficial, Prairie was senior VP of global corporate systems at American Express. Before that, Prairie held a number of programming, engineering, and management positions within IBM.
