Tech Chief For PSINet

SINet has appointed Anthony Aveta as VP and CIO of the commercial Internet service provider. Aveta will have broad responsibilities for the Herndon, Va., ISP, with an emphasis on enhancing customer service. Aveta joins PSINet after serving as CIO at IT provider CACI since 1995. Before that, Aveta was with Computer Sciences' networks integrations division, and with IT engineering firm SAIC from 1989 to 1994.
