photo by Dan Brinzac As chairman, CEO and co-founder of Ariba, Inc. Ketih Krach is responsible for the management and strategic direction of the company. Under his leadership, Ariba has increased its employee base to 1200 employees worldwide in just over 3 years. Krach has led Ariba through the acquisitions of TradingDynamics and TRADEX, and through numerous strategic partnerships that have positioned the company as a leading business-to-business E-commerce platform provider.

Krach was recently honored at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where Ariba was presented with the Technology Pioneer Award. Krach was also named one of the top ten entrepreneurs of 1998 by Red Herring magazine, and Ariba was named among the Hot 100 Companies of 1999 by both Upside and Red Herring.

Prior to co-founding Ariba in 1996, Krach was chief operating officer of Rasna Corporation, a mechanical computer-aided design automation software company. He was instrumental the company's successful merger with Parametric Technology Corporation in 1995. Krach worked for ten years at General Motors, where he was vice president and general manager of GMF Robotics. He holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard University.
