Integration Servers: How They Compare
By Joe Fenner (info@doculabs.com)
Doculabs is embarking on a comparative assessment of integration servers. A summary of the study's results will be published in an upcoming series of articles in InformationWeek. The evaluation will include reviews of products from CrossWorlds, IBM, iPlanet, SeeBeyond, Tibco, Vitria, webMethods, and WRQ.
The goal is to evaluate integration servers in the context of their ability to let companies bring their disparate systems together into integrated E-business applications.
Doculabs will use each product to build portions of different application integration scenarios, using the process as a mechanism for exercising the capabilities of each product against a comprehensive set
of criteria. In addition, Doculabs will assess each product's ease of use and overall value for intraorganizational applica-tion integration..
