WebEx, Salesforce Integrate Services

Salesforce.com and WebEx Communications Inc. on Monday said they have agreed to integrate that latter company's web conferencing service with Salesforce's Internet-based customer relationship management service.

Salesforce.com and WebEx Communications Inc. on Monday said they have agreed to integrate that latter company's web conferencing service with Salesforce's Internet-based customer relationship management service.

As part of the deal, the companies will also promote the joint offering to their combined customer base of more than 15,000 companies worldwide. The integrated service is scheduled for release in the summer.

"The combination of our leading web communications capabilities with salesforce.com's proven CRM service will support all stages of the sales cycle," Subrah Iyar, chairman and chief executive of WebEx, said in a statement.

Salesforce.com's service provides secure management of sales force automation, customer service and support, marketing automation, document management, contract management, and analytics. WebEx provides web communications services for meetings, conferencing, events, training and support.
