When it comes to digital strategy, size matters. We broke 510 respondents down by employee count: 326 hail from orgs with fewer than 1,000 employees, while 184 have more than 1,000. We found that 62% of smaller shops have digital strategies vs. 73% of large companies. And that's just the start of the disparities.
Just 12% can switch between public cloud infrastructure and in-house datacenters based on ≠demand; only 26% use PaaS; 54% do predictive revenue analysis; and 30% have widely deployed mobile apps for employees.
The Business of Going DigitalDigital business isn't about changing code; it's about changing what legacy sales, distribution, customer service, and product groups do in the new digital age. It's about bringing big data analytics, mobile, social, marketing automation, cloud computing, and the app economy together to launch new products and services. We're seeing new titles in this digital revolution, new responsibilities, new business models, and major shifts in technology spending.
