Windows 8 overtakes Android in web traffic

Windows 8 launched on the 26th of October so it’s only been on the market for a couple of weeks but StatCounter is reporting it has already surpassed Android when in comes to internet traffic. StatCounter aggregates data from a variety of sources, and as you can see in the image above they are saying there are more users surfing the web on Windows 8 than on Android devices. Of course that isn’t a big surprise, as the potential user base for Windows 8 is huge, but even so it’s pretty impressive for an OS that’s only 2 weeks old.
