David Smith brings more than 20 years of information technology and management experience to Citrix. He has spent the past 15 years evangelizing and delivering Citrix technologies to help customers realize the Citrix vision of "a world where people can experience work and life their way." He is a regular speaker at industry events and is a spokesman around technology initiatives such as virtualization, mobility, cloud computing, and IT consolidation. Before assuming responsibility for the Citrix state and local business, David ran the Citrix Defense and Intelligence business and also served as CTO for Public Sector. He has a BS in computer science and an MBA from Loyola University in Maryland. Prior to working for Citrix, he worked in the NASA Software Assurance Technology Center and led efforts to improve the security and reliability of applications developed for NASA programs.
