Microsoft Responds To Redmond Watch
I am writing to clarify the position of Microsoft on fraudulent mail ( March10 Redmond Watch ). Microsoft and CEO Bill Gates take this issue very seriously.
1. Microsoft prides itself on using E-mail and the Internet to communicate, and greatly values these tools.
2. Because Microsoft builds its business on this kind of communication, the company views distortion, fraud, or lying in e lectronic communication as a gross offense against the company and its customers.
3. For over six years, Microsoft has had a formal E-mail policy and guidelines that clearly state that this type of behavior is wrong.
This type of false documentation violates that policy, and is neither accepted nor tolerated at Microsoft.
