Until today — March 12, 2013 — Internet Explorer 10 in the new Windows UI allowed Adobe Flash content only when the site was on a special Microsoft-controlled whitelist. Now all sites are allowed except those on a special Microsoft-controlled blacklist. It's probably a concession to usability problems.

These companies are advancing the technology for customers. Where are Microsoft and Apple in this? Microsoft is doing a little, but Apple seems to think that management of their devices is not their problem.

Password Manager On USB Key Launches On Kickstarter

myIDkey is a secure USB device that acts as a hardware password manager. The device authenticates the user with a fingerprint swipe. It talks Bluetooth to your mobile device and you talk to it to get it to display secured data such as passwords. But you can't buy it yet; today they launched on Kickstarter for funding.
