Why doesn't the Linux community brag more? When I was asked to moderate an upcoming InformationWeek Government webinar with Fred Osborne from Red Hat, I immediately thought about discussing the differences between Linux hypervisors versus Microsoft's Hyper-V. When you look at the market as a whole, Linux owns the space. VMware is built on a Linux kernel, so is Xen. Red Hat is naturally all about Linux and builds upon the open source KVM. I realize they're all competitors, but they have a common model - a clean bare metal engine that provides a better platform to build upon.
