Reluctantly gaining dinosaur status as an observer and reporter of technology news, when Darrell is not looking for the latest trends in microprocessors and computing systems he would rather be on the golf course. Even with a quarter-century experience as a reporter, and 17 years within the semiconductor and IT industries, the chase for the big and entertaining stories remains exciting. Darrell has been with InformationWeek since July 2003. Prior to InformationWeek, he worked for another CMP Media publication, Electronic Buyers' News, for 13 years. His early life in daily newspapers included stints with The Dallas Times-Herald, Dayton Beach News-Journal, and Waco Tribune-Herald. A resident of his native Fort Worth, Texas, Darrell remains a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan waiting less patiently every year for that sixth Super Bowl victory.
