IT CONFIDENCE INDEX TRACKER IT CONFIDENCE INDEX

As companies gear up for the third quarter, business-technology managers are skeptical about the U.S. economy and their industries and this is triggering a downward shift in the IT Confidence Index. For June 2005 the IT Confidence Index dropped 8.9% to 1,294. It appears that IT confidence is somewhat seasonal. In 2004, the index went up in the first two quarters and down in the third and fourth quarter. We see the same trend in 2005, however the Index is down 11.7% from June of 2004 so there is a general downward trend in IT confidence.

Use this free and confidential tool to examine the results of IT Confidence Index over 19 quarters. The supporting data stems from a quarterly tracking study where respondents are queried about their near-term confidence in the economy, the fortunes of their industries and companies, the outlook for their IT budgets, and their project plans.
