10 Pinterest Pointers For Businesses
September 06, 2012 11:40 AM Pinterest is gaining interest and users. We recommend 10 tips for making effective and purposeful use of the platform.
Tell Your Story
Many organizations have "About Us" or even "Company History" pages, but they are typically buried--and probably rightly so. That's not to say that many companies' histories are uninteresting. Quite the opposite is often true, but a traditional website just isn't the place to put that info front and center. Pinterest, meanwhile, is a natural story-telling medium. The Lilly Pulitzer brand, for example, took off when a certain First Lady wore the clothing in a Life magazine photo, and the company recounts that legacy and more on a board focused on its history. A company's longevity is often an evaluation point when potential customers are considering its wares, and Pinterest can be a great platform on which to trumpet it.
