Does GE belong on this list?
I hesitated to put GE on the same list with Intel, Google Capital, and HP because its investment in Pivotal has a lot more going on -- like cloud and next-era development -- than just Hadoop. But it was an investment in the idea that the data-management layer is changing and that Hadoop is a cornerstone of that new architecture. What's your take?
