Points to the value, but will teh price be right
My sense is that this will be the best deal for a company that's already invested in Greenplum and has had at least some progress on understanding the use of Hadoop. You're not going to benefit unless you use mutiple analytic engines (say Greenplum + HAWQ + GemFire XD) and can get to the scale to really exploit the unlimited Hadoop support. Cucchi did say that the two-year or three-year deal can be extended, so that unlimited support for Hadoop nodes won't go away and turn into something far more expensive (as far as software support is concerned).
