Dealing With The Computer Viruses On Mouse And Keyboard

Posted by Mike Elgan, Feb 28, 2006 02:05 PM

Both companies and individuals have become much more successful lately coping with computer viruses by buying, installing and using anti-virus software. But what about the REAL germs living on your mouse and keyboard?

Your mouse and keyboard harbor more bacteria than a toilet. There's only one reason for that: You can clean a toilet. Mice and keyboards, however, are packed with nooks and crannies where nasty germs find safe haven.

If that bothers you, and you want to do something about it, check out products called the ScrollSeal mouse and SpillSeal keyboard from a company called UNOTRON. They can be washed like dishes in the sink.

It's a great idea -- one that will be welcomed by anal-retentive, obsessive compulsive geeks (like Yours Truly).
