TV Guide To Launch 'Downloads' Column
I'm not sure how many people both read TV Guide and also download TV shows -- they seem like entirely different audiences to me – but it's an interesting move for the publication most closely associated in the public mind with the old-school idiot box. It's also hard to imagine why anyone would turn to a print magazine for information on downloadable TV shows rather than, say, iTunes or any of thousands of online sources of information about TV shows. The whole enterprise, in fact, smacks of a desperate attempt by a dying magazine to stay relevant.
