Firefox Extension: So Many Videos, So Little Time
I spend way too much time surfing addons.mozilla.org -- tough work, to be sure, but someone has to do it. Here's a new Firefox extension that I think a lot of you will enjoy, if only because of the time you'll save with it: VideoDownloader.I spend way too much time surfing addons.mozilla.org -- tough work, to be sure, but someone has to do it. Here's a new Firefox extension that I think a lot of you will enjoy, if only because of the time you'll save with it: VideoDownloader.
Download videos from Youtube, Google, Metacafe, iFilm, Dailymotion... and other 60+ video sites! And all embedded objects on a webpage (movies, mp3s, flash, quicktime, etc)! There's also a neat little canned demo on developer Javi Moya's VideoDownloader site. I've been running it on Windows XP and Ubuntu (but haven't tried it on OS X yet): so far, so good. The user reviews (at least the ones that pass the smell test) also look good so far, considering this extension is a just little over two weeks old.VideoDownloader adds a small icon on the status bar at the bottom of your firefox window, and a toolbar button. Just click that and download the video you are watching !

Enjoy -- but don't try to hit all 60 of those sites in one sitting, you'll end up permanently attached to the sofa.
