Samsung Unveils Super Phone

Posted by Mike Elgan, May 18, 2006 02:28 PM

Samsung unveiled a super smartphone today at the Korea 2006 Expo -- one that replaces your digital camera, iPod and GPS gadget. Oh, and you can use it to make calls, too.

The SCH B570 has a hard disk that holds 8 gigabytes of music, which you can play through a relatively high-quality 5.1 channel stereo sound system. While many camera phones in the U.S. have a 1.3-megapixel digital camera, the B570's 2-megapixel quality is a nice boost. Best of all, it has built-in GPS. The 240 x 320 pixel and 262,000 color TFT display should be pretty good, too. Samsung has not announced pricing or availability. (via The Web. To Go.)
