Apple To iPod Users: Stay Away From Vista

Posted by Stephen Wellman, Feb 6, 2007 10:19 AM

Apple is warning iPod users to stay clear of Microsoft's new operating system, Vista, warning that the new OS could damage their iPods.

Apple cautioned iPod users to not upgrade their PCs to Vista until a version of iTunes that is compatible with Vista hits the market.

Microsoft last week said that Vista is compatible with more than 5,000 hardware and software products and recently released an upgrade that it claims will let Vista users access their iTunes content.

Apple, however, claims that iPod users have reported issues trying to connect their devices to Vista-equipped machines.

Concerned iPod users can check Apple's site and Microsoft's site for advice on what to do.

Have any of you upgraded to Vista only to find that your iPod doesn't work with the new OS? If so, let us know.
