I Have Become One Of Those Obnoxious Mac Evangelists

Posted by Mitch Wagner, Mar 14, 2007 01:37 PM

To my shame the other day, a friend called me on the fact that I've become one of those obnoxious people who turns every conversation about computers into a Mac-pimping session. Here's an actual instant message exchange:

MY FRIEND: so like I left my reading glasses in a bar last night, I think. I'm dead in the water today, getting any work done.
ME: You can just make the text ginormous.
MY FRIEND: I have the zoom in Word set to 350%
MY FRIEND: freaking old eyes
ME: The Mac has a very handy full-screen zoom capability.
MY FRIEND: please don't tell me more.

Later, I took off all my clothes, put on a bedsheet for a toga (it had an attractive Huckleberry Hound design which made it nicer than all the other togas), shaved my head, and went to the airport to sell flowers and give out brochures.
