You Can Order The iPhone Today On eBay For $1,000

Posted by Stephen Wellman, May 14, 2007 05:10 PM

Do you have $1,000 sitting around for the iPhone? If so, you can buy the most-coveted cell phone of the 21st century from some retailers on eBay.

Prices for the iPhone have gone past the $1,000 mark on eBay, despite the fact that the neither Apple nor AT&T have given a specific launch date. Many of the eBay merchants claim they will ship the iPhone on June 14.

And a few retailers on eBay even claim to have iPhones ready to ship now:

For those willing to "buy it now," prices for a standard iPhone range from $2,300 t0 $5,399. One seller, gperks46 (also 99% positive), is offering a "14 Kart (sic) SolidGold" iPhone for 10 grand.

Have any of you actually ordered the iPhone on eBay yet? And if so, do you expect to get your phone before customers who order directly from Apple or AT&T?
