These tools are popular add-ons that enhance your Second Life experience.
The Geek Meet is 1 p.m. tomorrow at Dr. Dobb's Island.. It's organized by Nick Wilson, who heads the Metaversed blog. Nick is 57 Miles in Second Life, I'm Ziggy Figaro.
MystiTool is the one I keep hearing about, and it's past time I bought it myself. It lets you keep track of which avatars are doing what in your general vicinity, manage your inventory and landmark more easily, capture URLs mentioned in chat, and more.
Calendar Cogs is an interface for Second Life and Google Calendar.
Squawk connects Second Life with Twitter and Jaiku, and it appears to have some kind of shared landmarking function, so you can let other people know where you are and what's hot in Second Life.
I don't know what the heck Stats Collector is. Join us at Dr. Dobb's Island tomorrow and we can find out together. The guests will be Mystical Cooke, creator of the Mystitool; Alidar Moxie, creator of Calendar Cogs and Stats Collector; and Vincent Shore, creator of Squawk.
By the way, the normal times for these things are going to be noon Fridays SLT and 6 p.m. Tuesdays; we're doing this one at 1 p.m. tomorrow for reasons too boring to get into. Second Life Time is the same as Pacific time in the United States.
Geek Meets are hosted by InformationWeek, Dr. Dobb's Journal, and Metaversed.
