iPhone: Now The Work Begins

Posted by John Soat, Jul 2, 2007 02:52 PM

Okay, the iPhone?s here. Now what?

Now the work begins. Now we find out how business-oriented Apple?s newest tech toy really is. Now we find out how easy it is to integrate iPhones into the corporate network. Now we find out how robust the web applications are that the iPhone supports.

The iPhone has been getting some pretty good reviews. In terms of negatives, mostly it?s been getting knocked for the slow speed of the AT&T network. There?s no doubt that it?s a cool-looking piece of technology.

InformationWeek has enlisted the help of a tech-savvy CIO, a good friend and last year?s InformationWeek Chief of the Year, Dan Drawbaugh, to try out the iPhone for us and report back on his adventures. His comments will appear here.

How about you? Have you invested in Apple?s latest invention, or do you plan to? Let us know what you think. And feel free to let your real feelings about the iPhone flow freely?Steve Jobs can take it, I?m sure, and the rest of us are eager to know what you think.
