Demo Day 2, Part 2: Software For Small Businesses

Posted by Art Wittmann, Sep 26, 2007 12:39 PM

Interesting stuff here -- some of these small business tools are recreating existing tools.

CashView: Simplify invoicing and bill paying. Includes approver system, calendar tracking, balance tracking. Seems a lot like Quicken.

BatchBook: Contact manager for small business. Includes employe management and records are customizable. Sort an internal version of LinkedIn.

Agendize: Adds actions to e-commerce Web sites. Adds such features as call the business, send instant messages, add bookmarks. Integrates with Facebook so customers call tell their friends about how cool the e-commerce site is. Could be useful for small businesses that don't have strong html programming skills.

LongJump: Small business data tracker -- SAP for the little guy.

PlanHQ: Structured tool for creating and tracking the execution of business plans. Track goals and measure the loads on teams and team members. The includes budgeting and creating reports for teams and boards.
