CES: Via Text-to-Speech, BlueAnt's Bluetooth-Based SuperTooth 3 Says Who's Calling
The way the SuperTooth 3 works, according to BlueAnt senior VP Peter George, is that when you first pair it up with a Bluetooth-based cell phone, it downloads all the contact information stored in that phone. Then, when a call comes in from one of your contacts, it tells you who is calling using text-to-speech technology. The benefit compared with other visor-mounted hands-free speakerphones for your car is that you don't have to look up at a display to see who is calling (distractions like that are dangerous). George expects the SuperTooth 3 to be available in April for about $129. « CES: Duracell Power Brick Charges Laptops, Cell Phones Simultaneously | Main | World's Smallest PC? » |
