How To Fix The Windows Vista Bootloader

Posted by Paul McDougall, Jan 27, 2008 09:12 PM

The folks over at NeoSmart Technologies have posted an interesting document on how to deal with Windows Vista's finicky bootloader.

NeoSmart's gurus say they've "compiled information from over two-year's worth of experience with fixing broken bootloaders into a single guide."

Among other things, NeoSmart advises trying to fix the bootloader from within Vista—if you can get in—using EasyBCD.

If you can't even get into the OS, you'll need to boot from the Vista DVD and then follow the rest of the guide.

Here's a link to the full document.
