Join Us For GridTalk Tuesday With Intel's Stephen Fischer

Posted by Mitch Wagner, Jan 7, 2008 02:48 PM

Join us in Second Life or on the Web for a live talk with Intel's Stephen Fischer, senior principal engineer, Intel Corp. Fischer will talk about Intel's desktop processor strategy and technology, including the brand-new Penryn processor.

Fischer is a 23-year veteran of Intel. For the last 15, he's worked on technical development of processor architecture and microcode. He's worked on 80486-based products, and Intel Pentium II development, helped define new instruction sets, and he's currently focused on the Intel Core 2 Duo-based microarchitecture.

Here's how to join us for GridTalk:

  • In Second Life: Be there Tuesday, Jan. 8 (that's tomorrow) at 10 a.m. Second Life time/Pacific time at the amphitheater at Dr. Dobb's Island. SLURL

  • You don't need to be a Second Life user to participate. On the Web, Visit Dr. Dobb's Life 2.0 to listen to the audio and view the slides.

And if you can't participate, you can listen in afterwards. We plan to record audio of the session, and make it available here as a podcast download. Watch this space.

IM me using my Second Life name, Ziggy Figaro, if you have any questions, or for any reason.
