An Invitation To Startups And Innovative Software Companies

Got a new and interesting product that the business technology world should know about? Here are three ways to get the word out.

1. If you're a startup (5 years or less), sign up for a segment of InformationWeek's Startup City TV. There are still a few openings for our Feb. 26 taping in San Francisco. The format involves a three-minute interview between an InformationWeek editor and an executive of your company in which we probe into what's new and different about what you're doing. There's no fee involved, and the videos are played on InformationWeek.com and our Startup City blog.

2. Complete our "tell us about your startup" form. This fast, free, and easy online application goes into our database of emerging companies, which InformationWeek editors access for articles and blogs and to choose our Startup Of The Week.

3. Apply for a spot in the Software 2008 Conference's Innovation Showcase. This is a great way to get in front of business technology professionals and other industry influencers. The event is being held April 29-30 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Interop Las Vegas, which means there will be a crowd. InformationWeek will be there to cover it.

The Innovation Showcase organizers are looking for high-potential companies (not limited to startups) in the areas of software as a service, virtualization, collaboration, cloud computing, enterprise 2.0, open source, mobility, security, and analytics.
