Haynie says it will easily integrate into existing SOA architecture. Although there is a free version, for support and other services, there's a subscription fee for the commercial version. One of the big competitors here is Adobe Flex Flash, but Haynie says that for Adobe's product you must develop in the proprietary MXML; moreover, Appcelerator is open source and uses standard languages.
