InformationWeek Live this week is all about location, location, location. GPS-enabled mobile devices can give users the information they need when and where they need it. We'll talk with three experts on location-based services about where this technology is today and where it's going. As described in this week's InformationWeek cover story, companies making use of location-based services include Wal-Mart, which sends location-customized messages to managers at 3,000 stores about incoming bad weather that could affect business -- for example, dangerous high winds or a snowstorm that could start a run on rock salt. Papa John's customers in Alabama can track pizza delivery street by street using TrackMyPizza.com. And Sprint subscribers in California's Contra Costa County will soon get emergency alerts, such as wildfire warnings, but only if they're in at-risk areas.

What does the future look like for this exciting technology? Find out on InformationWeek Live.
