Google Restores 'Save & Close' Button To Google Docs

Posted by Eric Zeman, Mar 27, 2008 04:10 PM

This is some short and sweet news. This afternoon I fired up Google Docs to write a post about Picasa Web Albums, and noticed that my favorite button is back. Thanks, Google!

The "Save & Close" button was the subject of a semi-tirade I wrote a couple of weeks ago. The button had vanished from the upper right-hand corner of Google Docs, and I missed it sorely.

Well, it looks as though Google heard my (and surely others') pleas, and restored the button to its previous location.

So now Google Docs users can happily press the button and take care of two actions at once, saving the document and closing it.
