The implementation appears to be pretty slick and firms with an established Interwoven enterprise content management platform will certainly be interested in checking out the solution. For a full rundown of the details, check out Interwoven's partnership announcement.
Also, Open Text has made a name for itself by creating enterprise content management systems focused on serving verticals. It's particularly strong in the legal arena, and its recent announcement of an e-mail life cycle management tool does a nice job of rounding out the product offering.
The tool is intended to help firms set up rules for e-mail management, including the ability to automatically file by subject and client, as well as support for archiving and disposing of e-mail as appropriate. The tools integrate tightly with Microsoft Exchange Server and Open Text's document management tools.
Compliance with internal policies and regulatory mandates can be complex, but Open Text's solution should help simplify the process. For additional information, visit the E-mail Lifecycle Management for Law Firms product page.
Few organizations are more burdened with huge volumes of documentation than law firms, and so anything that can make information easier to find, organize, and manage is certainly welcome.
