HTC Touch Pro Coming To AT&T As Fuze?
AT&T and HTC wouldn't give me an official confirmation or denial, but Engadget Mobile noticed an official posting on AT&T's Web site extolling the virtues of the "Fuze." HTC takes Windows Mobile® smartphone design to the next level with the introduction of the highly desirable and elegant HTC FUZE™. The multi faceted HTC FUZE™ is a 3G tri-band HSDPA Windows Mobile smartphone brought to you by AT&T, which allows you access to the world and to a world of features … And it goes on, and on, for a lengthy description of the phone. This latest tidbit comes about a week after Wall Street Journal broke (*cough* broke an embargo *cough*) the news that the Touch Diamond was coming to Sprint soon. This is a very positive step for prospective smartphone buyers, as both devices are powerful and intuitive. As I've mentioned before Windows Mobile 6.1 is very capable, but it can be a nightmare to navigate. Both of HTC's devices layer the TouchFlo UI on top of it, and it is extremely helpful and intuitive. It's still not quite the iPhone's UI, but it's getting close. As for other features, the Touch Pro is jam-packed with features: Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, push e-mail, document editing, and a full five-row QWERTY keyboard. I can hum along on Apple's virtual keyboard, but I still love a large physical keyboard for real work. And while it adds some thickness (the Pro's 18.1 millimeters thick, compared to 12.3 for the iPhone 3G), it's still a stylish phone. « Are Businesses Ready For Radical Desktops? | Main | Google Chrome Polishes Its First Security Update » |
