Google Keeps Its Word, Gives Android Away To Anyone For Free
Wow. You want Android? Now you can go get it. Not the SDK, mind you, but the complete operating system. The news came in a blog post today. It is so well written, I am going to let Dave Bort do the talking: Today is a big day for Android, the Open Handset Alliance, and the open-source community. Giving the platform away for free lets anyone (a.k.a., developers) sink their chops into it and tinker away to their heart's content. I can't wait to see what the open source community does to modify, enhance, and improve the new operating system. « Report: BlackBerry Pearl Flip Not Selling Well | Main | Motorola Proves It Still Has Design Chops » |
