Sen. Barack Obama, for his part, garnered the endorsements of Cleantech, the Sierra Club, and the California League of Conservation Voters, which this week released its 2008 environmental scorecard. Individual supporters include Netscape founder Marc Andreessen; Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook; Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay; Eric Schmidt, Google CEO; John W. Thompson, CEO of Symantec; and Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist.
Sen. John McCain has been endorsed by Republicans for Environmental Protection, a national organization formed in 1995 and headquartered in Albuquerque, N.M.
