This is in no way an endorsement. Just providing equal time to someone in the environmental sector, given the subject of this daily blog. Meanwhile, with the campaign mercifully coming to a close, I also thought it fitting to review some of the technology and environmental endorsements the two presidential candidates have received. Again, this is a review not an endorsement. Also, the National Wildlife Federation has posted interviews with both candidates on environmental issues. It does not endorse candidates, but did support both Obama and McCain, two of 11 co-sponsors to the 2007 Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act involving emission caps. Sen. Barack Obama, for his part, garnered the endorsements of Cleantech, the Sierra Club, and the California League of Conservation Voters, which this week released its 2008 environmental scorecard. Individual supporters include Netscape founder Marc Andreessen; Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook; Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay; Eric Schmidt, Google CEO; John W. Thompson, CEO of Symantec; and Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist. Sen. John McCain has been endorsed by Republicans for Environmental Protection, a national organization formed in 1995 and headquartered in Albuquerque, N.M. Individuals include Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard; and Meg Whitman, former CEO of eBay. « Will Verizon Wireless Give Away The BlackBerry Storm For Free? | Main | VC Drought? 70 Million Exceptions To The Rule » |
