Taking The First Steps With Drupal

Fortunately, this webcast looks like it's going to be a simple, free way to get a good overview.
Jeff Eaton and James Walker, the presenters of the webcast, certainly have proven chops. In addition to co-authoring Using Drupal, both are deeply involved in the Drupal community and have worked with extensively with Lullabot, a Drupal-centric consulting firm. Eaton is one of the core developers of Drupal, and Walker is also a long-time contributor to various modules and components of the open source content management system.
