The first annual bMighty.com Innovation Awards recognize a dozen products released this year that hold special appeal for growing businesses -- and for everyone else, too.So, what are 2008's most innovative products for small and midsize businesses? Well, first of all, forget about products specifically designed for that market. SMB-specific products are almost always way too niche-y to be all that interesting.

For example, the Aliph Jawbone 2 has become the Gold Standard of Bluetooth headsets, and while enterprises almost never supply or subsidize headsets for employees, SMBs are typically free to do so if they choose.

Similarly, netbooks are popular among consumers, but they also make a great addition to the technology roster at small companies. Rather than buy everyone a laptop that mostly gets used in the office anyway, they can supplement the standard desktops with a few netbooks for use outside the office. And the MSI Wind U100's 10-inch screen and relatively spacious keyboard make it an ideal compromise between performance and portability -- at a very reasonable price.
