Something Not CES-Related At All

Posted by Eric Zeman, Jan 9, 2009 04:19 PM

Vinnie Paul, brother of late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott, is offering up his very first cell phone in an eBay auction. It happens to be a Motorola.

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I had to share ...

This popped up in my Facebook updates today. My guess is there are a few Pantera fans out there who might be interested in a piece of Pantera history. And, well, it's sort of related to mobile considering that the story involves a cell phone.

Vinnie Paul was cleaning out his closet and came across this cool artifact. It is his first cell phone! This classic Motorola includes six batteries, a charger and a car charger too! It is autographed in two places. This unique piece of rock-n-roll memorabilia will be a fun item for any Pantera fan!!!

As of 4:35 p.m. EST, there had been 47 bids, with the current high bid standing at $305.

Here is a video from Vinnie Paul that's posted with the auction.
