Find out if it can survive the heat of a blowtorch.Motorola may be facing hard times, but it still knows how to make rugged equipment that can take a beating and get the job done at the end of the day.

Motorola's VA76r Tundra is a push-to-talk phone for AT&T's network that offers the convenience of walkie-talkie functions with the features of a regular flip phone.

It has a 2-megapixel camera that also captures video, a music player, a capable 3G Web browser, and Bluetooth, and it supports microSD cards for storing media.

Phone calls sounded great, and the Tundra was a champ at remaining connected to AT&T's 3G network all over the place.

All of that is ancillary to the fact that it's designed for the rough-and-tumble life in the field.
