Google Powers Tasks And To-Do Lists Via Mobile Browsers
If you're a Gmail user, you probably rejoiced that Google added a Tasks feature to Gmail several months ago. Unfortunately, you couldn't take those tasks with you and check them from your phone. Well, now you can. Also, iPhone and Android users take note, Google has a little something extra lined up for you.If you're a Gmail user, you probably rejoiced that Google added a Tasks feature to Gmail several months ago. Unfortunately, you couldn't take those tasks with you and check them from your phone. Well, now you can. Also, iPhone and Android users take note, Google has a little something extra lined up for you.The new capability works via a mobile phone's browser. Google says, "Just go to gmail.com/tasks in your mobile browser and log in. If you have a Google Apps account, you can go to mail.google.com/tasks/a/your-domain, replacing your-domain with your actual domain name."

You have to have Tasks enabled in Gmail Labs. If you do, you can view tasks, add new tasks, and also check them off as all taken care of. Any changes to Tasks you make via your mobile phone are reflected in your Gmail account.
That's all well and good for most phones, but Google has taken it a bit further for the iPhone and Android platforms. With either device, you also can add, edit, and delete entire lists as well.
I tried it out this morning and found that it works quite well. Since many tasks are things that need to be accomplished out in the world, it's nice to be able to access your task list and mark things off as you complete them.
