Available "within weeks", according to the company, the i-mate 810-F is named for the MIL-STD-810F standard issued by the U.S. military's Developmental Test Command, around which the handset is designed.Consequently, the 810-F can withstand extremes of temperature, pressure humidity and shock, and can even survive full submersion in water.

The Windows Mobile-based device has an impressive array of specs, including Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G/HSDPA, 2.2 GB of on-board storage and more. I-mate is so confident in the stamina of the device that it provides a lifetime warranty. There is no pricing mentioned in the article, but my guess is this will be close to $1,000. If you are on a GSM network such as AT&T or T-Mobile in the United States, you should be able to just pop your SIM into this phone and be about your aggressive activities while keeping up with e-mails and making sure your Facebook profile is up to date.
