As we get closer to Valentine's Day, your heart may be turning to warm and fuzzy feelings of tender affection. That's cool, but don't leave tech out in the cold! bMighty presents 11 technologies and trends worthy of IT love, and you might find some of them a bit surprising. For example, bMighty says it's time to get all sweaty with consumer technology in the workplace. Many IT folks like to disparage consumer technology as mere "toys" not worthy of serious consideration. But consumer products and services like social networking and iPhones have become new gold standard of technology. They're here, they're taking over, and it's time we learn to love them.

And even though we haven't met him or her yet, we're sure we're gonna love the new National CTO. Whoever gets the job will signal a new commitment to technology as a key force in moving the country forward. I'm ready to pin a corsage on whoever it turns out to be.

Like anything worth loving, Wi-Fi On A Plane comes at a cost. No, I'm not talking about the $9.95 fee, I'm talking about the loss of private time. For many busy travelers, that airline seat represented the last refuge of unreachability, the only place they could think, read something other than their email, and not have to worry about missing a key message from the office. We'll, you can kiss that goodbye, but on the plus side, now you won't have to miss that message. Plus you can do all kinds of other work so you don't land to face unresolved crises and anxious customers. You gotta love that, right?

To find out what else to love, though, you'll need to check out bMighty's entire 11 Things To Love On Valentine's Day slideshow. You might not love 'em all, but I'm sure you'll like 'em.
