Information about the Palm Pre's launch is popping up faster and faster. The latest tidbit comes from a leaked internal memo that includes details about a "launch lunch" to be held June 5.Take this one with a hefty dose of salt. One of the The Boy Genius' informants has sent the site what appears to be an internal memo. The memo shares details about an event that will take place in Friday, June 5. The "launch lunch" as it is called, is the final event in what looks to be a three-day series of meetings about the Pre.

The sessions that will be held at the event center on training and familiarizing employees with the Pre. Some of the sessions have titles such as: "Head-to-Head Training," "As OS Above the Rest," "Hardware Concerns," and "Manager Review."

The blogosphere considers this important for several reasons. First, it looks precisely like the type of event a company would hold in the days before a major product launch. Second, Sprint typically makes new handsets available on Sundays. With the "launch lunch" taking place on Friday, June 5, it would appear to be the perfect lead-in to a Sunday, June 7, launch of the Palm Pre. Third, this ties in closely with a rumor that Best Buy was to hold a trial launch of the Palm Pre starting on June 7.

One caveat to consider. There are spelling errors on this internal memo. A typo could just be a typo, but it could also be the sign that the document is a forgery of some sort.

Neither Sprint nor Palm has given any indication that this memo is real or not.
