Nokia Holding Fire Sales At U.S. Flagship Stores June 25

Posted by Eric Zeman, Jun 24, 2009 04:12 PM

About 10 days ago, Nokia had a three-hour sale at its U.S. flagship stores, where it offered pretty steep discounts on a number of its popular phones. Tomorrow (June 25), there will be a repeat performance, this time lasting for five hours. Also, Europe's number one contract phone is revealed.

If you're in the market for a new Nokia phone and live in New York City or Chicago, you should seriously consider stopping by. These are some pretty good prices. They range from 28% to 57% off depending on the model. The sale starts at 11 AM EST and runs until 4 PM EST. The sale prices will also be honored at Nokia's Web site if you can't make it into a store. They include:

  • 5800   $280.00
  • E63   $195.00
  • E66   $275.00
  • E71   $285.00
  • E75   $380.00
  • N79   $260.00
  • N85   $330.00
  • N958G   $355.00
  • N96   $440.00
  • N95-3   $299.00
Trust me, those are pretty good prices. The regular price of the 5800, for example, is $399, depending on where you find it. If you're the business-y type, I highly recommend the E75. It has the perfect combination of form and function. The keyboard works really well, the user interface is fairly snappy, and it still slips nto your pocket easily.

By the way, guess what the number one seller is across Carphone Warehouse outlets in Europe (on contract)? Yep, the 5800 XpressMusic. It beats the iPhone, which comes in at number two. The Samsung Tocco Ultra is the number three seller as far as Carphone Warehouse is concerned.

Get 'em while they last!
