Dell Sets Record Straight About Its Smartphone 'Concept'

That just isn't the case, says Dell.I was really hoping the reports were accurate. The world has waited for a long time to see a Dell smartphone. Turns out the mini3i, seen in pictures over the weekend, isn't the Dell smartphone we've been waiting for.
Dell spokesperson Matt Parretta called the device seen a "proof of concept." He told PCMag, "The only thing that we're confirming is that we're in product development with China Mobile. We were there as a development partner for the [Google Android-based] oPhone platform."

- 3 megapixel auto-focus, flash, 8x digital zoom camera with 30 frames per second video shooting mode, built in photo editor
- USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
- A-GPS
- On-screen QWERTY keyboard, hardwriting recognition, multi-touch UI
- MicroSD slot
So that's the word from Dell. No Dell smartphone, yet.
