Here's a handful of some smaller Android-related tidbits that broke today. T-Mobile has lowered the price of the new myTouch 3G by a whopping 25%, the Motorola CLIQ is going to ship with a hefty number of pre-installed applications, and Google tweaked Gmail for both Android and the iPhonemyTouch Price Drop

Whoa, this isn't a good sign. Mere weeks after going on sale, T-Mobile has lowered the price of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google from $200 to $150. That's a drop of 25%. No explanation was given for the sudden decrease in price for the Android phone from T-Mobile.

The price drop could be because the myTouch 3G isn't selling well, or, more likely, because the Motorola CLIQ is set to go on sale in just a few short weeks.

CLIQ Apps Bonanza

Speaking of the CLIQ, according to a fact sheet published by Motorola, the CLIQ is going to arrive in customer hands near to bursting with pre-loaded applications. Out-of-the-box, users will have immediate access to: LastFM, Google features, Yahoo! Mail, Digg, Mint, Facebook, Twitter, Travel Channel, MTV, Amazon's MP3 Store, QuickOffice and TeleNav Navigation. That's a lot of apps.

Don't forget, the CLIQ will also have full access to the Android Market, too. This means the CLIQ will become your mobile application powerhouse in no time.

Mobile Gmail Improvements

Last in this collection of Android-based news stories is one for Gmail. Google has tweaked the browser version of Gmail yet again. This time, the new features are somewhat less noticeable than previous upgrades.

First, users will be able to move emails from their inboxes to other folders in their inbox much easier with the "Move" task that has been added to the drop-down menu.

Second, Gmail will now automatically refresh when users return to Gmail after visiting other web sites. This means users won't have to manually refresh their inboxes upon returning. Also, if the device falls asleep with Gmail open, the inbox will refresh automatically when the device is woken up.

These Gmail improvements only affect the browser version of Gmail. They also work on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
